Government Engineering College, Ajmer is an autonomous engineering college of government of Rajasthan. The college was established in the year 1997 by the government of Rajasthan with the objective of providing quality technical education and to encourage the students to take engineering as their higher education. The Government Mahila Engineering College is the first women engineering college located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The foundation of this college is laid by Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhra Raje on 30th April 2007. The Government Mahila Engineering College is also known as GWECA. This college is affiliated to University of Rajasthan and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), New Delhi.

Ajmer Institute of Technology, (AIT) Ajmer is a private aided engineering college located in Ajmer district of Rajasthan the institute offering engineering degree in various discipline the college was established in the year 2009.
