Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VKIT) is one of the esteemed engineering colleges in Karnataka. VKIT offers quality based education aimed at building skill, expertise and knowledge among its students in the area of technology and design. VKIT was established in the year 1997 by Janatha Education Society(JES) in its Silver Jubilee year, VKIT affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, approved by AICTE New Delhi and recognized by Government of Karnataka. The students of VKIT are colloquially referred to as VKITians. VKIT has carved a niche for itself for its best technical education provided in the state.
